2018 Krewe of Barkus

Sunday, February 11
  • Participants check-in at Mitchell Park at 12.30.
  • Parade begins promptly at 2 p.m.

Historic Downtown McKinney
111 N. Tennessee St. McKinney, TX 75069

2018 will be our 16th annual successful run, and Krewe of Barkus promises to be a howling hoot. In past years, more than 250 dogs participated in the parade alongside more than 4,500 spectators in awe of costumes, creatures and creativity.

Patterned after the Mystic Krewe of Barkus in New Orleans, which was established to help abused and abandoned canines, Krewe of Barkus will feature a parade, vendor booths, interactive activities and more.

2018 Theme

We will be traveling, so choose a country. It can be your heritage, somewhere you've been, or where you'd really like to go. We are having a festival of nations and calling it "The Bark-A-Palooza Tour Around the World - Celebrating Countries & Cultures Across the Globe"
